People, cafes, vendors, street merchants, buskers, historic buildings, art installations and much more. The power of observation underpins the art of great street photography. Learning to "see" interesting detail is a practised skill and we introduce you to easy methods that will open your photographer's eye and expose you to a world that is alive with detail. The most rewarding part of the class is learning how to approach interesting people and have them willingly pose for you.We will also go over settings, focusing techniques and lens choices common to street photography to help us capture those random chance encounters.

Architectural photography can be a great way of exploring and documenting a city, whether it's your home or on holiday. Its about capturing not only the design and accurate representation of a building, but to have the shots be aesthetically pleasing to the viewer's eye. An architectural photographer makes pictures, not takes pictures.

In this session, we will be covering how to better understand Architecture photography and we'll be looking at ways to take some impressive shots and the camera settings to use.

I was looking to connect with like minded people, if your family is like me, going for a walk and stopping to take photos can have an impact on others who don't share your interest. Not only did I pick up some new skills the social connection was great. As someone who works with people around connection, confidence and anxiety I know the power of connection. Looking forward to booking on other events to improve my knowledge and hanging out with likeminded people.

Title or Location: Heading to the Devil?s Chair.
I took this photograph of the Stiperstones area of Shropshire on the 16th April 2025. I used my iPhone and a basic edit.I hope your eye will be drawn to the yellow Gorse, and that you will want to follow the course of the lane over the brow of the hill, and you will be rewarded to see on the horizon The Devil?s Chair! It is heathland full of myth and legend. I did not want to take this planned photo on a sunny day, but waited till the weather turned dark and foreboding (like the landscape

Title or Location: Severn Valley Country Park
This photo was taken last Sunday at the Severn Valley Country Park. Insect numbers at the park have been well down on recent years, as is the case everywhere, so it was encouraging to see an upturn in numbers, especially butterflies. This was one of many Essex Skippers in the meadow at the time, along with a few Gatekeepers and Meadow Browns. The settings used were f9, 1/2000 sec., ISO 5000 at a focal length of 200mm. Some light editing was done in Lightroom, including de-noise at 55.

This photo is from HAUGHMOND ABBEY just outside of Shrewsbury - here you can find the extensive remains of an Augustinian abbey, including its abbots? quarters, refectory and cloister. This was taken at around 2pm and was a result of a last minute trip to create some adventure and try to capture some unique elements of the site. I didn?t want to just capture the ?bigger remains? I wanted to capture the unique elements that mixed different elements and angles. This photo was the result and cap

I met young Miles at Ellis Square while he was doing some rather gymnastic break dancing. Luckily, for me, I was using my Nikon Z7 which allowed me to switch from raw to jpeg giving me 9 frames per second on motor drive. I was shooting aperture preferred and used f/8 the resulting shutter speed was 1/1600 of a second. 9fps sounds fast but I only had 6 nicely composed shots out of 120 exposures.

I had spent the better part of the day moving silently through the edges of the chase looking to photograph deer. It was one of those days that seemed perfect on paper: overcast skies that softened the light, barely a breath of wind, and a camera battery at full charge. But nature is nothing if not humbling. The deer remained ghost-like, unseen despite hours of quiet patience and soft steps.By late afternoon my hopes had dimmed so I began the slow walk back to the car. The path wound through
